Rounders has been played in England since Tudor times. It is the game on which the modern sport of baseball is based.

Today, rounders is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and is played by both men and women of all ages and ability. Mixed rounders teams are common throughout the UK and there are now over 40 adult  leagues across the country. Currently 80% of schools play rounders and most encourage pupils to develop their skills up to a competitive level.
